Give

For Christ's love compels us...
that those who live should no longer live for themselves
but for him who died for them and was raised again.

- 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Why we give.

We have a generous God.
"For God so loved the world that He gave..."
What God gave was not leftovers or the equivalent of the loose change we may store away in the front seat of our car.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son..."
What God gave so we could experience forgiveness of sins,
eternal life, and a forever relationship with Him
was what was of most value to Him!
He willingly gave His Son for us.
This radical lay-it-all-on-the-line love compels us
to live and love sacrificially as well.
Gratitude for who God is and what He has done sparks generosity!
God created all.
He owns all.
We are simply managers and stewards of all He has given us.
We give as an act of worship and as an acknowledgment that
"every good and perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17).
