Capturing the Truth
How did God sustain Elijah during the drought? (1 Kings 17)
What words would you use to describe Elijah?
What was your biggest takeaway from this lesson?
Use this space to include any other comments or questions you may have in light of this week's study.
Family Chat
Take a few moments, as a family, and review the lesson. We saw a few moments of God's magnificent power as we looked at the life of Elijah.
1. Does God show power today? How? Where have you seen His power on display?
2. God gave Elijah extra strength to do His will, even when God led him into difficult circumstances. Where do you need His strength right now? (both parent and student respond)
Say a prayer for each other, asking God for strength to do His will, regardless of the difficulties that could lie ahead as you follow Him.

RESTORATION
In 1 Kings 19 Elijah experienced fear and weariness after God's incredible display on Mt Carmel. It is important that we take time to be refreshed in God's presence, to hear His quiet whisper.
Read Psalm 23 - 1 verse each day. Look at each verse in a couple different translations (NIV, God's Word, The Message). Write a short sentence for each verse below about how these words encourage you!
