We all have times where we are scared to follow God, however He is never scared! God’s presence gives us confidence and strength just as the Israelites found confidence in God leading them out of Egypt.

Talk with your parents about a time when they were scared, but felt the presence of God and were therefore confident. Report on what is talked about.

Have you ever experienced a time where you needed to completely trust in God to guide you?

Pray together this prayer: “Lord Jesus, thank you for always being with us. Sometimes we seek out our own ways and solutions, when we really need to trust wholly in you. Help us follow you when we seek our own paths, and to trust that you are with us even when we can't see you. Amen.”

Daily Spiritual Rhythms Challenge

God wants to walk with you through your day.

For an entire day seek to acknowledge God's presence in all that you do. Our God is "with us" and so talk with Him throughout the day as you would with a friend or family member. To help you remember He is with you wherever you are and in the midst of whatever you are doing, write a note the night before that says, "God, You are here with me now. Thank you. Fill me with joy in Your presence." Keep it by your bed so you start your day aware of His presence, and keep it with you throughout the day. Share your reflections on this special day with Him.
